Chairperson of the Irish Food Writers’ Guild, Aoife Carrigy is a freelance journalist and editor specialising in food, wine and travel. Aoife is the restaurant reviewer for The Herald, wine editor of Image Interiors & Living Magazine and a regular contributor to FOOD&WINE Magazine where she worked for five years as Deputy Editor. She also contributes to CARA Magazine, The Irish Independent, The Sunday Business Post and The Irish Times amongst others.
Aoife has also co-authored and edited several Irish cookbooks, lectured in journalism and worked as a food and drinks consultant for varied clients including Value Retail (Kildare Village), Wines of Chile and Failte Ireland. An experienced public speaker, she has been a regular contributor to Irish television and radio on various food-related topics.
Having started her food career working front-of-house in restaurants, she remains passionate today about supporting the exciting development of the Irish food story.
